Favorite Places to Shoot in Miami Part 1

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing some of my spots to work that camera.

So here you are - Oh what a beautiful city! but you hop off the plane at MIA, grab a Cuban coffee at the airport - then magically you are whisked away to your hotel or airbnb.

You're ready to go, camera fully loaded and guess what? You have no idea where to shoot without getting kicked out by the permit mafia or worse, an overcrowded shoot area...oh boy!

Well listen up and keep up because I am a native that will give you sooooo many places to shoot, that the Miami Tourist Board might hit you up for the next gig! lol!

Okay, lets start with Little Havana, I mean come one and come all but Miami would be nothing without the Cocaine cowboys of the 70s and 80s and of course that architecture from old Cuba ;) and yes! That Latin billionaire builder from The Related Companies, lol.

Bare with me because I will be posting and adding to this blog and today is my first day posting on the matter.

Take your rental, the 8 bus or uber on over to SW 17th Avenue and 8th Street and You are officially by the many chickens as you enter Little Havana.

Once you get here, say,"Ki ki ri ki" - a spanish rooster. this is the corner where it all begins. Grab a seat for coffee at El Pub restaurant on sw 15th avenue and sw 8th street

I am looking for a great Guayabera to go along with my Mojito and Cigar shoot!

This is the bakery on 13th avenue and sw 8 street

Miami Calle Ocho

The walls go on and on

I simply could not get enough of the walls here

Easy to get distracted here but if you can appreciate it, this will be well worth the trip

Most of the buildings are covered with art or some form of it. Come early because it gets Very crowded.

The culture of the people is very friendly, mostly older Cubans shopping, drinking coffee and playing Dominos in the famous Dominos park. You will have so much to work with here, you will be more than pleased.

This is on the other side which is sw 7th street and it also has a variety of sorts to pick and chose a shoot background.

My next post will feature the Art District which begins around Miami Avenue and 22nd streets - Here is a small video of what the area looks like from the highway as you drive. There is plenty to shoot here, I can say that you can shoot for a few weeks. Not to mention the new shopping mall for Miami's Elite, such as Tiffany and Louboutin.

Well thats all for today but be sure to check back soon for some other hidden gems from near the Baseball stadium on the Miami River, and deep into Little Havana, and the private island behind Coconut Grove and many more.

Stay tuned!
